Today the 3rd Circuit Court ordered the @post-gazette.com to restore our contract it illegally tore up 5 years ago. That’s our health care, PTO, right to a 40-hr. work week, short-term disability and so much more we’ve struck for 3+ years.

When we were unionizing our charter school network (we won!), one thing I read and used in our campaign was the idea that unions are little-d democratic. They bring people who have nothing in common together to negotiate for better working conditions. They strengthen community through diversity!

Saw an amazing Strega Nona tattoo and it got me thinking what children's book I would want a tattoo of. And obviously it would be Madeline. Obviously the illustration where she lifts her shirt to show off her scars to her schoolmates. I am a poet, you see.

I mean, honestly, even in the 90s very few of my friends actually read the whole book, even if it was assigned. I was the weirdo for insisting on reading books, cover to cover, as a matter of course.

Apparently I wasn't laid off. I just "participated" in the Reduction in Force (RIF) "process."

A lot of people who’ve posted that “I don’t know how to explain that you should care about other people” quote need to know that they should care about other people. I want my tax dollars to go to paying for insulin for the most vile MAGA asshole you ever heard of; that’s part of “everyone”.
