It is getting serious. Tomorrow one of our foster kittens Dot is leaving to be with her forever family. This is the hard part of fostering, so I'm taking the day off.

Hope she will be very happy.

JYSK er større end man tror. De har brug for meget lagerplads. De kom til Uldum blandt andet, fordi vi kaldte vejen for Lars Larsens vej - siger rygtet.

How it feels living in a small village in Denmark in 2025.

We have to fight for everything. Not to get anything new, but to keep what we have. Our local library is closing. They have tried closing everything else around us that is related to public services.

I don't want to move to a city. #dkpol

Our small village has 1400 people. Our local history society has nearly 1000 Facebook followers. In an age where attention is priceless, that means a lot.

That we might have to close the archive, because of local politics is another matter. I'm not thinking about that today.

You really need sharp attention to detail for this one. The subtle shades of brown. It is fascinating to study the painting so closely.

I was talking to a kid reader about penguins and mentioned that a "penguin scientist" had found some ancient fossils and the kid said

I can't believe that we only had Dot for 3 months. She was 10 days old, when we started fostering her.
