Sometimes I dunno if people realize how weirdly they behave on dating apps.

I just spent 45 minutes arguing with a guy who would rather tell me in what position he thinks I'd be a great fuck than telling me something (anything) about himself, even after being prodded three separate times.

I genuinely love solo traveling, but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss having a travel buddy. Someone to keep me motivated to move, help me think through plans, snap me a few pics and maybe end the day with a cuddle.

I need you to read this without an anglosphere lens. I am aware there are multiple ramifications on the recent events in the American perspective. I'm not in a position to elaborate, but those who know me know what my moral compass says. I want to speak as a Venezuelan first and foremost. The recent events and the capture of Maduro were sudden and shocking. The fact that Maduro and Cilia Flores are imprisoned is an objective good for the region. "There must've been a local way you could liberate yourselves." We have. Multiple times. And people were repressed, imprisoned, and killed. We had uprisings. Dead people. We had elections that were absolutely proven by Maduro and his regime to have lost. Stolen. Dead people. Unlike Syria and Ukraine, Venezuela never had a military faction that could secede and defend the people's interests. It's akin to a North Korean monolith with an incredibly complex system made specially to protect the regime. From civil to military options, pretty much all options were literally impossible without the chance of outside backing. "The region should have acted, now we risk instability" Most of the South American continent has failed us in one way or another. From keeping hushed to keep that money flowing to putting stopgaps to legal processes and encouraging xenophobia and having international organizations hold insufficient or even failed votes to call for justice, we were facing further and further isolation. Plus, putting future hypotheticals aside, the Maduro government WAS encouraging instability. Just last year, two dissidents were almost killed in Bogota, Colombia. And before that, a dissident was murdered in Chile. To have a government like that run rampant at any level equals a risk to every Venezuelan that dares to talk for justice. "But the dead that this event left?" As of this post, 77 were confirmed perished. However, 75 were part of the military forces that were part of the Maduro regime, and 32 were Cuban security agents (why were there Cubans protecting a foreign leader? Now you can piece who's really intervening.) That there were two dead civilians is wrong, obviously. Unfortunately, we've been seeing similar death tolls from military forces repressing protesting civilians, if not higher, constantly, over the years. "Oil?" You can't see Venezuela's oil as being stolen or not, because the default state was "it was never truly Venezuela's". Russia, China, Iran, Cuba, these entities have been ravaging our resources, nature, goods, everything. Overall, there's no care of any perspective of oil, because we were never in true control or benefitted properly from it. We know there are multiple interests and there's no fully pure intentions. However, it is our chance to take control. Not take BACK control, but take it for the first time in our lifespans. To be frank, to think of us solely in the basis of resources is offensive to no end. Is oil more important to talk about than thousands of political prisoners being tortured for years? Is some black slop more important than human lives? I am sorry that suffering got on the way of your posting, I guess. Ends don't justify means, but if there were not any means visible and any others are being eliminated, are people forced to endure an endless fate of misery? Are we going to pretend there's no tangible good of someone breaking and entering into the home of a domestic abuser and beating him up at random? There's so much tutting and disapproving can do. "So, what can we do?" I understand it's complicated, but there are clear positions you can take. -Don't view this as a sportsgame. There's no good vs bad and there are multiple factors to keep in mind. Don't let any position cloud your vision that two illegitimate heads of state responsible for countless crimes in and out of their country are bound to face justice. That a country 27 years, most of my life on this planet, into a dictatorship has taken a massive stride that no one thought it could. -Demand a proper democratic transition: The regime HAS NOT changed as of yet. Delcy Rodriguez, the head of state they implemented, is just as treacherous, and if not more dangerous, to Venezuelans as Maduro is. And with her capitulating to the US in every single whim to stay in power, it can make her and her inner circle incredibly dangerous. Demand that the 2024 elections be recognized, respected, and that all guarantees to a swift transition to a true democracy led by Venezuelans. -Protect the Venezuelan communities: Demand that your government offers protections and looks for the rights of Venezuelans in your community. I've lost a lot of protections, and I run a heavy risk of having it all gone awry and have me exit into an even more unstable place. Be loud about TPS status and proper legal ways to keep Venezuelans safe. The times are tense, and there's a lot to do, but don't see Maduro's outing as anything but the first step of what could be true change. Now is time to ensure it is done correctly. "But it won't-" DEMAND it.

Made a late New Year resolution that I should try being more active within the furry fandom and explore this side of me more after a good 15 years of involvement.

This is my first social media account EVER not under my given name. Dunno what'll come out of it, but can't be a bad idea, right?
