We have Canadian companies that produce these products, to a degree. Ramping them up would be a national project. Power grid operators are provincial and that presents a whole other can of stupidity. Hydro should never have been privatized, it is literally a public utility.

I mean, on the one hand it has all the Wag the Dog you could possibly want. Then again, I'm a dog lover so I'm willing to be wagged a little because it is an ideal worth protecting.
