I just bent my thumb in that so-called "impossible direction."

This is irresponsible journalism. Something looking a little unusual isn't automatically AI. Jumping the gun with accusations like this isn't good for anyone.

#5 - Papers, Please

Glory to Artotzka! 🫡

Working through my Steam backlog with another indie classic I should have played a decade ago. Such a captivating game for what is essentially glorified paperwork.

Managed to get one of the best/rarest endings in the game by overthrowing the government.

I worked for several VR devs over the last few years (most notably Toast VR, whose critically-acclaimed games were delisted from the Meta Store) and have seen the rapid decline of anything Meta touches.

The store is filled with so much slop that legitimate devs have almost no hope of survival.

Make my bank account happy too! Copies on GameCube go for waaaaaaay too much for me to ever consider owning it.

Even though Twin Snakes gets quite a bit of criticism from die-hard MGS fans, I thought it was excellent. Really makes the game far more approachable using the MGS2 engine.

Seems Frog games are all the rage at the moment! I've been hooked on @ribbitranch.bsky.social, made by a solo dev from Brisbane.

Headlice by @bunguin.games would be up there for me. Absolutely loved the demo at PAX - such an absurd game!

Headlice on Steam
Headlice is a reverse horror game where you play as an escaped biological abomination fleeing an inept corporation. Embrace your parasitic nature and become the monster you were meant to be.

One of the first games I worked on! ☺️ Really glad to see it getting closer to a full release.

This game has been sitting untouched in my Steam library for over a decade. Pretty sure I initially received it through a Humble Bundle.

Turns out it's an incredibly stylish, clever, and minimalist music-driven platformer. Exactly my sort of game! Finished it in a single sitting.

Binding of Isaac is my guilty pleasure. The most repayable game ever made!
