Weird is the most human thing in the world because weird requires imagination.

"You know, 100 years ago, you'd have a job. Not school- you'd have a real, actual job. Alongside adults... so, my point is, I think you can microwave your own ramen."

Hot take for today: I believe anyone should be able to do basic maintenance on their own vehicle with nothing more than basic tools, a jack, and jack stands.
By which I mean vehicles should be designed that way.

Everyone leaves.
Some might come back but it's never quite the same.

Water is wet in the exact same way that oxygen is flammable.

Hot take: while I appreciate that The Matrix is a cultural icon... I don't really see how. It's just not that good of a movie. 😬

I keep hearing ppl say "Why did Rep xyz say he hates this bill and wants things changed?? He voted to pass it this morning!"
I'm not sure why anyone would be actually confused- it's the party of "believe what I'm saying not what I'm doing".

It's not a mistake or confusion. It's PR.

Watch this at least 3 times. Maybe just 20 min straight. We need it.
The most majestic thing you will see on #bluesky today. 😇

Once more, in case you weren't listening: The Cruelty Is The Point.
Important to know that these cuts kick in right after the 2026 midterms. That’s how you know they know it’s bad.

"Ethics" under unfettered late stage capitalism is just throwing money at a problem so you can sleep at night.

I'm gonna start offering people "a king's ransom in spices" and then give them $5 of pepper, cloves, and cinnamon.

when we are old and retired, my generation will sit and randomly ask
"Do you remember when the world ended?"

And someone else will probably say
"Which time?"

Last night, I told my oldest "please do not stay up all night researching astrophysics."

Today, there is a handwritten page of notes on dark matter on the table...

Older gens: why are you millennials like this?!

Have you seen the media we grew up with?
The Mummy (1999), A Bug's Life, Sesame Street, Mr Rogers, Animaniacs, dystopian/apocalyptic fiction far as the eye can see, constant commercials for purple ketchup and candy soda and toys that would 💀 us...

Getting elevated 🍃 in the chilly morning fog, and I have two thoughts:

I am sincerely happy. Life is good. Everything in my little world, in this moment, is perfect, and I am content.

In times like these, Joy Is Resistance...

Things I say while elevated:
"...the multilayered tangled web of relationships between the infinite combinations of selves."

Things I also say while elevated:
"But, I'm high as Saturn's tiddies so hypothetically..."

My thumbs want to furiously type out a novel...
And yet I have no words.
I cannot describe the feeling.
It's... a fullness.
A completeness.
The most... strange.
We forgot we were capable for so very long.

A lot of academics have a work ethic that could be described as "terrifying"...
But I imagine at least some of that comes from voluntarily enduring 20+ years of school. 😅

Right now, my family is piling into the kitchen over ham and mashed potatoes, surrounded by boys in short pants and girls in bright Easter dresses, fresh from Sunday school.
I am far away, smoking lettuce in the warm air and sunshine.
I'd rather be here. Life is rough right now, but #lifeisgood 😁
