I wouldn't worry about a QIP reject. The conference is too crowded and big now, and so the PC is desperate to write down meaningless reasons for rejection. In my opinion, the smaller conferences are more significant these days, where more meaningful research interactions can take place.

I've started a pos-doc at Ulm in the group of Martin Plenio to work on a few topics I'm interested in which are related to quantum resource theories and thermodynamics....

The idea is to apply the resource theoretic toolbox to search for fundamental limitations on QEC, and more broadly FTQC.
