This was a really good one, the mystery itself was surprising and the context was exceptionally compelling from a historical perspective #booksky

Just an incredibly fascinating book. Equal parts Stephen King, Kafka, and Chinese Folklore #booksky

Fascinating book. Some interesting ideas, maybe too many, execution could use work in some places but definitely never boring. This book really needed a pro editor, missing a couple transitions at least. The finale is both less weird and much more weird than the books leading up to it #booksky

These books are incredibly long, but continue to have great payoff. Crazy impressive character arcs #booksky

I really liked the premise for this book. I also found a lot of the aliens interesting. It did feel like it just petered out towards the end. Too much focus on John's weird relationship with his daughter-wife and no follow up on the Old Farts who were the most interesting group imo #booksky

I liked this one overall, impressed by the scale of the threads all crashing together here. I didn't really vibe with the ending, and there's too many meta winks at the camera here imo, but definitely engaging, had to keep notes to track of all the reveals here #booksky

The murder mystery in this one was really compelling. I was engaged with the logistics of the case from start to finish. My only gripe with this book is actually with the cover, marble statues should be vibrantly colored at the time, a detail that the author never forgets in text #booksky

Really love this new Dragonsteel coin. It's the perfect gift for any Stormlight fan who is struggling with suicidal ideation and other mental illnesses. You can also get it for yourself like I did, that is also allowed #mentalhealth

Pretty strong second installment overall. The characters feel inconsistent at points and the pacing could use some work, probably a consequence of converting a blog. But the weirdness of the world keeps surprise me and the overall mystery continues to ratchet up well with the new threads. #booksky

Pretty good one. I was reluctant to start this book after Raiders of the Nile turned out to be such a dude, but this was a much better book and an excellent endcap to the 7 Wonders. #booksky

Massive cherry sized plothole detected in Wrath of the Furies! This a prequel book in which Gordianus eats cherries! This is a major problem because as every dilligent Roma Sub Rosa reader knows, Gordianus is said to eat his first cherry later in life during the events of Cherries of Lucullus!!!

Truly a repulsive book celebrating child molestation, animal abuse, and gambling addiction. But it is also just straight up surreal to read at points. For example, men are described more like orc paladins than real humans and women are described as JKR house elves who absolutely love their chains.

These books keep getting longer and longer, basically stormlight length already, just how thick will the final book be?

Great book, they just keep ratcheting up the stakes and the tension

Hoke Moseley is basically just Harry DuBois doing the fascist playthrough. He even wears similar leisure jackets

Awesome book, probably the best one so far. Incredibly fun series

Pretty good detective novel, feels almost like a play the way it leans on dramatic irony. The casual bigotry is straight up jarring sometimes, definitely feels period accurate for the 80s.

It's a choose your own adventure book with DnD elements. Pretty interesting concept, but the actual humor didn't age very well imo. But it is somewhat interesting to see what passed for funny in webcomics c. 2012.

Obsessed with the artwork on the new red rising edition. Thinking I'll reread at least the first 3 before the final book comes out. Been too long, incredible series.

Bought this book used, looks like it was signed "To June" by author. Cheers June!

These books are so good, definitely reading all of them.

These books continue to be really great, can't remember a single series I've enjoyed reading more

Really great novel, maybe the best Roma Sub Rosa so far despite departing from the usual single mystery formula. One of the best books I've ever read to show regular people getting pushed and pulled by the eddies great historical events.
