Germany’s wind & solar surge in June 2025 is huge.

Share of generation: 57.5% — up from 47.7% in June 2024, and double the 28.8% in June 2021.

Output: 21.1 TWh, a 33% YoY jump from 16.6 TWh.

World’s 3rd-largest economy — a clear sign that high renewables penetration at scale is already happening.

Saturday reads. Intense. Personal. And a beautiful sentiment to all the children and family members taken by the 2011 tsunami in Kamaya Village, Japan.

Things that @cnn.com prioritized over the Hands-off rallies:

Emhoff’s spineless firm
Peter Navarro’s opinion
Tariff Analysis
Jonestown anniversary
Errant emails to Ukrainians (this one deserves coverage)

And…comedians reacting to Trumps tariffs.

In case you’ve forgotten how we used to treat this sort of thing…

There would be bipartisan calls for investigations

Impeachment would be a foregone conclusion

Several people would’ve resigned or been fired by end of day

Back when responsible adults were in charge, not this insane clown posse

It was such a privilege to speak with Betsy at #toadstoolbooks and order this beautiful piece by @billmckibben.bsky.social & Stevie Lewis. May it bring a little hope. ❤️🩷💛💙
