During the multiyear transition to menopause, women's bodies begin processing sugar and carbs less efficiently, while their metabolism slows down at rest. That can drive weight gain – especially around the midsection – even if a person's habits haven't changed much.

OpenAI is hiring a new Head of Preparedness (up to $555K + equity) to mitigate AI harms across mental health, cybersecurity, and biological risks.

A worrying sign is the last three people in the role either moved internally or left the company. Not exactly a “top priority” signal.

There is now a K-shaped trend in tech where AI engineers & researchers are living their best lives while everyone else is facing layoffs and is unable to find a role.

The Trump administration gutting so much fundamental research is going to set the U.S. back so much in ways that will shock historians in the future.

Video game consoles just had the worst November in spending since 2005 and unit sales since 1995.

Xbox Series hardware sales fell 70% year over year, PS5 fell 40%+, and Switch & Switch 2 sales were down 10%+ vs. last year’s Switch.

Gaming has been in decline since COVID ended but this is brutal.
