i’ve never been a birder. but i love taking photos - by taking photos i can see things i cant in ‘real life’ - birds were just a blur in the trees before i got a camera- now they are great fun.

found out bluejays in our yard love peanuts (they would plant a lot of them and i would be pulling peanut plants up!!) next spring i think i'll start feeding again. i hope the birdflu will have eased and it will be safe for the birds for me to feed them again

i've always wanted to go to a sanctuary like that - Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum near Gilbert Ray campground (near Tucson) has beautiful raptors flight demos - always hundreds of people watching - but beautiful birds

heard the owl but it was so far away that it took some time to see it naked eye - and even longer to find it in the viewfinder. so glad it had that bright white breast! and one time i was glad to have a tripod along. fortunately it was on a dead tree in front of even further back grove of trees.

i’ve been really pleased with lightroom’s denoise! especially because this is a small portion of the frame(i was hoping to catch it flying away) with a smidge of lr sharpen is all i used on this
