I wrote the next in my series about AI, and this one is rough.

LLMs are Lead Part 4- Delusion, Psychosis, and Child Murder (Go to Part Three) This installment deals with self harm quite a lot. If you’re not in a good place right now, please skip this. If you or s...

I'd really hoped that the frickin @nytimes.com would have checked if Melenchon was head of anything besides the department of saying he'd like to be president of France.
quinn.yoyodyne-it.eu
The NYTimes has done a lot of dumb things, but doing a whole interview with Melenchon without ever asking what his position in his party is has to be up there.

The answer is none, btw. Loud Left Grampa of France was turfed out years ago & is now at a think tank. He's not a candidate for anything.

"anti-AI people should just learn more about it" motherfucker I know so much about it, that's why I'm anti-AI

The number of "resistance" authors publishing on Substack remains dissapointing. They were pro-nazi back when that was unpopular. I'd mutter something about the master's tools and the master's house, but y'all are actively donating lumber.

...And Cassandra sighed.

You can joke about Pam Bondi’s ridiculous unprofessionalism all you want, but I’m deeply shocked by it: She acts as if she fears absolutely no consequences, convinced that there will be no more political power transfers. — This should shake everyone to their core.

Depends on the crime. Want to stay in the street after the Po Po have called time?
Head shoved in. Want to pick fruit in a country you weren't born in? Maybe have some human rights violated. Petty crime while not white and a kid? Live ruining.

Thanks for saying this. Have often felt pretty lonely and unheard after a lot of trying to point this out for many years.

Just have to take a beat to say that the people that have long warned about state violence and the militarization of law enforcement were right.

Folks played a lot of kill the messenger with me, but also with plenty of other journalists and activists. All the outrage, finally now, when it's all been broken; now comfortable people are getting upset.

I need people who just found out we do this in America to miss me with their outrage. I mean, absolutely talk among yourselves, learn about it, face up to it. But I was on the beat for beatings for a minute, and folks didn't listen. More than that, they were cruel and crass about it.

(I did read his bio, but Imma be real, it was like more than 30 years ago and I don't remember much. 😂 Do remember him being a bit whiny and self conscious tho, that was adorable and lovely)

We did a ton of amazing work on labor and rights, but it's been aggressively black-holed. Both Europeans and Americans think May Day started in Europe, usually people assume France. But it started in Chicago, with Mother Jones. We have an amazing history, and we can draw from there.

Again I think it's more instructions to look at our own labor history here.

The oligarchy in America is rapacious and strong, and sadly it knows its history better than the rest of us. This will be a long and hard battle.

And to be fair to your original point, I do agree that a general strike is absolutely needed. It was strikes and labor action that gave Americans the rights we have now! But that was also sustained action over decades, sometimes even verging on small wars.

There was a huge amount of work both before and after the salt march. Such moments are important but if they're not part of a larger and much longer effort they aren't that effective. Wish it were like that.

But also a deep and hungry fury that would wipe out life on Earth if it could express itself

I wonder how often Clarence Thomas has had a soft slap on the shoulder and been told "you're one of the good ones" and felt accepted and safe.

I guess there's a question of definition, does the Roman Empire count? Or do you require 20th century technology for it to be real fascism?
