Brought both my Textile Makerspace budget knitting and my Portland Frog tapestry weaving to the year's first Stanford Literary Lab meeting, in case I ran out of the yarn color I needed for the knitting. Embracing my role of putting the 🖐🏻 digits in digital humanities. #DHmakes

I've used Spoonflower several times and it's been fine for the poster, but if you want to slice it up later and turn it into clothes, the custom printing especially on cotton woven tends to fade pretty bad. Purple Seamstress is in many cases cheaper, it's faster, and IMHO holds up better.

I took seriously the responsibility of bridging the Very Online world and the Very Offline world, and shared Portland Frog with all the older ladies at the library afternoon craft circle. Only the one from Portland had heard about this. 🐸

It's been about a year since I moved to my own apartment and it's taken about that long to relax into the idea that it's a safe and comfortable place I want to be.

Instead of playing video games, like an idiot I spent my weekend trying out some new-ish Latin parsers.

latinCy is pretty impressive, and does a great job for short sentences. It's also easy to integrate into a Python ecosystem and style so it looks great...

Got back to work on my "where I sleep" embroidery last night, and made it through the May data. Started June, but reconsidered once I realized how much more complicated it was, since the kids were almost always with me. Still pondering adapting brick stitch for it, though. #DHmakes
