2/2 could test it with a video with low watch counts (one low enough where you can still see the singles digit and it won't go up from someone else watching it while you're testing). In theory if your watch counts as a public view it'd also count as a monetized premium view

Ive seen a few videos on the general topic of what counts as a view since yt recently changed how they are tracked, since an adblocked watch doesnt even count as a public view (vs "monetized" on the yters backend) I doubt yt put in extra work to make premium accounts immune from that, tho you 1/2

If you have premium, does that not remove ads entirely? Most adblockers have a whitelist function you could use

I tried posting this to r/politics on reddit and automod yanked it cause they have a whitelist of accepted domains :/ so I filled out their form to see if they'd add yours but the form itself is so shit and reddit mods be reddit mods so fingers who knows

Sometimes a comment for one vid goes to a different video, where like autoplay rolls over and your comment goes to the new video, or with how shorts work, at least on android, you can be looking at one short but theres another one behind it and that's where the comment goes

I grew up somewhere maine-adjacent with a parent literally from maine, I suspect its very much a "write what you know" situation cause he grew up in Maine. Like I literally have no idea how I'd write something set in a real city
