The gazillion "hey threads algorithm, connect me to my people" posts that have been there since the start and the amount of ragebait posts for sure.

I tried getting back to threads when you said you went as well, but just scrolling through was such a depressing experience. Might be i effed my algorithm but threads felt so much more negative than bsky.

Oh okay, the history makes it much better. In the 30s some butchers in marburg made a sausage from the pork meats no one wanted to eat and thought it would be funny to put a face on it. It's apparently inspired by serial killer Fritz Haarmann who turned young boys into sausages.

There's this thing called face sausage, specifically made for kids. I'm looking up its history right now but it's relatively common in Germany.
