If you removed them from the list it'd be a lot more eclectic. On my main playlist I have 246 artists with 2193 tracks, accounting for 6 days of audio. It all gets listened to regularly.

Companies collecting data about how you use their products could be very helpful to both them and you. It could make products incredibly powerful.
IF they used that data to actually make their products good rather than cutting R&D spend to save money and selling your data to increase revenue.

I've seen a lot of these responses from Facebook as well. It's almost like all traffic and engagement on their platform is in their interest and as long as it's something they can get away with, they want it there.
