It is remarkable to me that LLMs capable of churning out effectively infinite amount of text have existed for several years now and the damning fact is not one of them has produced a text so far that a meaningful number of people wanted to read.

It is remarkable to me that LLMs capable of churning out effectively infinite amount of text have existed for several years now and the damning fact is not one of them has produced a text so far that a meaningful number of people wanted to read.

Imagine telling yourself from the 90’s that in 30 years a rap battle would overlap with Donald Trump being President AND him inflaming relations with CANANA. Oh and said beef involved accusations so heinous that it made all previous rap battles, no matter how acrimonious, look like a church picnic.

Saw an Atlantic interview with Mary Beard and she described the Christianity in the Roman Empire as Revolutionary.
And it seems pretty revolutionary: elite buy in, appeal to the lowest classes, factions alternatively in conflict or coalition.

I’m super stoked to see Zohran Memdani all but win the NYC mayoralty.
My only concern is will he make NYC affordable for current residents only or will he truly be ambitious and also make NYC an affordable city for working class people who want to move there?
