There is absolutely NO REASON for them to have IDRS access. IDRS houses all of your tax data, America. Every return you've filed. Every cent of income you've earned. Don't have an SSN, but you have an ITIN? They have that data now, including your address and all of the W-7 supporting docs.

I'm a federal employee. My husband is a federal employee. My SSN ends in 3. His ends in 7. If this were allowed to happen, we'd both lose our jobs. I can't put into strong enough words just how angry I am and that cutting people out of my life will be like taking out the trash.

So I can either keep fighting him that we are not going, or I can go and ignore everyone (they ignore me anyway while I tend to my daughter in a separate room) and be pissed and miserable the entire time. I hate going anyway because they seriously do pretty much leave me and my daughter on our own.

We have 3 kids, including a disabled 5-year-old daughter. She's level 3 autistic and ADHD. She's not exactly non-verbal, but she speaks in scripts and can't hold a conversation or answer questions. The choices of his family will have a direct impact on all of us, but especially on her if DoE is gone

My husband says no one will talk politics and that we're going. I told him that he could go by himself, but I'm not going, and neither were my children. Whether they talk politics or not isn't even the issue anymore. These people have made it even more clear just how diametrically opposed we are.
