My father passed away last week and, while it's been hard, his health was suffering for a long time and I am glad he is finally at peace. One thing I have been thinking about today was about how his life exemplifies the American dream in many ways. 🧵
@nypdnews.bsky.social @nytimes.com why aren’t you covering this ?
A mob of Hasidic men in Brooklyn chase down a woman who came to protest Ben-Gvir.

This sort of reaction has become normalized in NYC and LA, where violence against protestors has spiked enormously since October 7th.

This largely isn't covered or addressed by media, despite how widespread it is.

Meta’s censorship has gotten out of hand. It seems like Zuck’s being influenced by MAGA and enforcing removal of activist content that is pro-Palestine. Has anyone else been silenced? There’s shockingly such little chatter about Yemen on social media rn!

Where do our rights come from? Believe it or not, the United States has been rolling back our rights for 40 years. The biggest expansion of the peoples' rights in American history actually occurred between 1953 and 1969, during the period of American history known as the "Warren Court."

So many of Joe Rogan’s fans believe he’s such a brilliant speaker and free thinker so I decided to listen to an episode of his podcast to understand a little more of his position. I listened to him and Theo Von celebrate Trump’s election win and they go on a lot of tangents but here are a few.

Just so we’re clear -
Any party telling you who you can love, what gender you are, which medicine you can take, which books you can read, which history you can learn, what prayers you should pray and what you can and cannot do with your own body, doesn’t give a fuck about freedom.

Retro and casual gamers, give me recommendations of fun games to pick up and play from Nintendo on 3DS, Gameboy Advance, and Switch! I have been playing Metroid: Zero Mission for the past week and loving it!

Wrote about how four years of “Fund the Police!” did zero for the Democrats except legitimize GOP talking points, depress Dem voter turnout, hand Trump a well-funded police state, and make the world a crueler, more violent place. An abject failure. theappeal.org/fund-the-pol...
‘Fund the Police’ Backfired—and Gave Trump More Power Than Ever
Democrats spent the last four years running away from police reform and instead chanted "fund the police." They lost.
