We are a consumer society. The boycotts show how much power we have to change things when we act strong together. The carbon footprint showed everyone just how much lifestyles impact the climate and many chose to start evading the issue at that point. People talk big but put little action & $ in.

I thought they didn’t have a plan but maybe it’s more that revealing the plan would send most people into an uproar.

You’re correct that the time to stop climate change was decades ago. We have to adjust to the reality and focus on what we can, and realistically what people are willing to do to minimize and adapt to impact. Sometimes people are slow to change but incredibly resourceful when they do. Let’s hope.
