I wish the people around me would've understood how much hormones can affect my ADHD symptoms. Some days, I just can't get any work done with how bad my brain fog gets and I feel like all I can do is ride it out (and try to be gentle with myself).

As hormone levels fluctuate throughout my cycle, so does the severity of my ADHD symptoms.

During my period, it often feels like my medication isn't working as well.
Lower estrogen levels can affect the effectiveness of ADHD medication.

Estrogen affects executive functioning
Our estrogen levels are lowest before and during our period, and highest during ovulation (the middle between periods).

6 days before / during period: Concentration, working-memory and other symptoms become worse.

ADHD symptoms can feel worse with age.
Estrogen continuously decreases during and after menopause, which can affect all kind of executive functioning like working memory, concentration etc.

it makes me feel guilty taking in another animal while hes missing i think about this all the time now but i also think ill go crazy without an animal for too long like im so used to having a little guy in my house.. i just gotta keep reassuring myself that im not replacing him :(

i miss bean still i dont think ill ever stop missing him :/ i still believe he can come back to me.. i still get calls about dog sightings but they havent led anywhere in a while i dont know

i wish i didnt have to sleep like sleeping should be a choice for leisure or something whether or not i can fall asleep quickly at night shouldnt determine my energy levels tomorrow is what im saying
