That's almost correct. It's actually an 8-minute training course, mainly about how to put tape over removed tabs and pushing pause and record together and so forth.

I'm in the same position. Cannot comprehend the appeal, but I remind myself that I listen to stuff that would leave the average pop music listener equally confused and in disbelief.

That almost makes it sound interesting, but there is no way I'm listening ever again to pay closer attention to that guitar effect.

I think I actually heard a friend's cover of it, but his intentionally obnoxious punky rendition really blunted the awfulness of the original.

Yeah, I always thought I've got enough other high pitched sounds in those places so it's covered, but sometimes I want to boost that suddenly loud more. And maybe I'm not reaching that super high white noise cymbal tssssss.

Turns out a Creed song did come up in the playlist. I found it thoroughly bland and instantly forgettable. 🤷‍♀️But I also never liked Alice In Chains or Pearl Jam etc. - I do love the TAD/Mudhoney end of that spectrum though. The gnarly, punk "grunge" bands.

Haven't heard any Creed, are they actually a '00s band? Several Alice in Chains songs though.

Someone should trick him into recording a new album under the pretense that they're just recording rough demos. Then play them back to him in a couple years and release it as an album.
