Never underestimate the power of the comments function in your word processing software. Don’t constantly trudge through slop. Focus on areas in need. Give detailed notes. This keeps you from being lost to an editing doom-cycle.

Now it's time for you to return the favor.” “Tasty pictures,” it said, drool running down its chin, “who is it you seek?” “The Nyx.” The shadow minion’s ashen face grew more pale, slack, and eyes wide, “ that information is forbidden, even to you.” “Says who?” “He comes.” “Who is coming?” “You’ll see…” the creature said in a sing-song voice, “Here he comes, the dark man in a hat!”

I wouldn't have believe you if you told me this time last year that my January 2025 binge show would be a CHINESE show called #perfectmatch on #Netflix. I'm a 90s goth that watches and reads horror and anything that is dark. Why does this #romcom have a chokehold on my very soul?!?

These have proven to be the best tool in my toolkit. I also recommend doing what I did and utilizing tabs to make it quick reference. That way you can get inspiration and not get stuck in the book.

#writerstip Today I want to talk about phrasebooks. Some call it cheating but I call it utilizing every resource you have.
Common misconception is that it is expected for us to ‘plug and play’ phrases when actually it is a brainstorming tool. These get my brain going. What do you think?

This book is the worst book I have ever read. Read it to decide for yourself. For me it was a brutal experience and I forced myself to read and not DNF it. I wanted to know all the reasons it didn’t work for me. I keep it and my favorite guilty pleasure book on my writing desk to stay focused daily.
