I work full time. I have health insurance and dental insurance. I make more than minimum wage in my state. I STILL have to spend more than a full MONTH’S salary to get one tooth fixed.

One of my teeth is rotting out of my jaw, and I’ve just “dealt with it” for over a year because I didn’t want to get deeper into debt. Even with “good” dental insurance, the root canal I’m getting tomorrow will cost more than 1 month’s salary.

I’m so deeply in debt, mostly medical debt. I get calls day in and day out from collection agencies and hospitals I have never even heard of.
