thanks ❤️ eventually i'd like to repaint the trim and the eyepiece, but for now it's a good sight more presentable than it was when i picked it up a few weeks ago
the k1000 as it was when i bought it, leatherette sloughing off. can't see but the seals were pretty much goo, too.

a greek style garden sculpture stood at the side of a wall in a garden, occluded by thin, bare branches reaching upwards, and surrounded by dead leaves and rocks. had a feeling like this was persephone trapped in hades for the winter, or maybe the branches are blocking hestia from seeing her daughter. i feel like the iconography is maybe more hestia though honestly it kind of just seems like a generic aphrodite/venus statue. i'm doing imagination give me a break. up close, statue a little fuzzy, with the branches in clear focus

i got this lens with the k1000 i still need to fix up, and it's not too shabby for the extreme range it has. super light and i was happy i could shoot at 70mm again because i've been stuck with a 28mm and a couple of 50mm primes and an extremely heavy and awkward 70-180mm zoom.

up the hill and facing downtown, i liked the wispy clouds that look like pencil scribbles walking down the sidewalk and being accosted by that fuckin arboreal creature again sunset, rush hour, can everyone here honestly say that they need to be driving at this precise moment in time? car culture's a hell of a drug walking up the hill to home and seeing a red-tinged ribbon-like cloud sweeping across the sky

the landmark buildings outside my apartment backlit by the red light of the dawn cars full of miserable people driving to work at fuck you o'clock in the morning, red cast barely peeking out from behind the mountains underexposed image of hawk sitting atop a street lamp, i like the silhouettes mistimed shot through a chain link fence of the running track at the nearby stadium bowl, the insane people running at this hour are obscured by the link, but i'm also insane for being up and taking pictures at this uncivilized hour.
