A loving reminder to all of us that there isn’t ANYTHING wrong with us for not showing up in the world like neurotypicals. Different can just be different, it doesn’t have to be a negative, & anyone treating us as if there’s something wrong with us are ignorant at best & actively bigoted at worst.

A lot of us with ADHD are unfortunately very accustomed to being treated like weridos for the ways ADHD shows up in our personalities and working and learning styles, sometimes to the point that we don’t clock that we’re actually facing ableism.

One of the most insightful things I ever heard was that we need to retire the phrase “avoid it like the plague” because we’ve now seen that even with all the education & resources needed people will actively choose *not* to avoid the plague 😓
