When he was a child Ruan genuinly loved his parents and he had a happy childhood... it was only in his teens, when their son did not develop in the way they wanted him too, that things turned sour.

I don't think Ruan paints them on his own but he definitely let's his niece do it. So whatever is currently her favorite color, ig he often ends up with pink nails, painted a little messily.
