Sculpting humans is so hard, still incredibly fun. I’m trying to get the basic shapes down before adding all his spikes and scales. Slowly getting there

How Rakule is looking so far. I opted to find the old folder I made back in 2021 for inspiration when I first made the mask. Then I’ll combined the features of the 2nd mask ( mainly the ears and crest) to make a unique version. I want them to be independent of each other showing growth. Just like me

Lmao I guess PLA isn’t strong enough to withstand molten monster maker clay 😂🫡

Getting out of my comfort zone- sculpting a neck seal to add another layer of “bio mechanical” feel. Going to make this multimedia. Rubber with fabric sort of deal. Rough pass for now.

I have two of them and I love them! Feel like they’ve been a valuable source,so it should be a no brainer lol. On that note, these are the GOAT. I highly recommend these

Trying to use my AMS HT to print TPU for the first time. The little tube flexes and it makes me laugh haha. Like it’s fish biting the end of a fishing pole.

Thought this would be a handy tip- sometimes I’ll notice areas that need work, but I can’t attend to it in that moment. Especially when I stand and I need to step away for a moment. I’ll take pins and stick them in those places to remind me later. Really really helps.

Early WIP but here’s take two! Using another head form so I can line up the eyes a bit better. Mainly due to the wide nose bridge. I am still building up and taking away forms but I am much much happier.

The fact I can be like “ I need a - OH I bet I can 3D print that!” is so freaking cool. Wanted a skull reference so before bed I found a cougar skull on maker world. Printed beautifully

The support shell broke but the silicone mold for the head base came out perfectly. I love those bubble sheets!! It made this so much easier. Trying to decide if I go ahead and cast this up today or…

Mulling ideas. My brain is fighting with me. It keeps overriding to realism but I want to add some distinctive features/personality to the sculpt. Trying to blend the two and it’s just 404ing haha. This is the part I have to make changes back and forth to gauge what I like, and don’t.

I see one or two things I wanna fix after these pics but I wanted to share. I am pretty obsessed with how the shadows lie on the form. Specially the profile. Should be adding all the lovely details tomorrow

Trying to get that “cheetah” essence. Thinking I am headed in the right direction. Now to figure out how I wanna do his hair…
