Scotland was a multi-lingual, multi-national society from the beginning. When David I founded the Royal Burghs he addressed the people there as "Scottis et Anglis, Frankis et Flemmingis" – the Scots, English, French & Flemish who made up his Community of the Realm of Scotland.

Any attempt to unravel UK economic dysfunction without mentioning Brexit or the mass sale of council housing while deeming Thatcher's privatisation wholly positive is absurd. Keep to American issues you're useless on the UK
