I already have this shirt but if anyone is after an Eleanor Shellstrop shirt for themselves and can fit into a Small (the brand’s shirts do tend to run small, just speaking as someone who owns multiple Eleanor Paige shirts now), there’s one going on eBay right now… ebay.us/m/XDKYhU

Anyway, this week, it finally happened (I obviously had an eBay alert set up for this shirt). A seller uploaded a Rails Ingrid shirt in what looked like the right colour, the right hem, and the right style… And when I messaged her for the full label, it was the right fabric composition!

There’s a few other Ingrids in different colours available too which I didn’t even bother checking but if you’re a normal shopper (unlike me) there’s variation!

And I was very mad about this one because it looked near identical at first glance… But it’s a men’s Colton shirt and not an Ingrid so THE BUTTONS ARE ON THE WRONG SIDE (also listing says it’s 100% cotton so is definitely now also wrong)

This one was very similar and had the right fabric blend but had no label with the style of shirt, had less buttons and came with a black tie sewn to the collar so was also ultimately wrong

There’s also experiments in the Ingrid line with no pockets at all and two pockets, which I didn’t click on because they were obviously wrong, but the colour/buttons/hem was almost identical in the one with no pockets 😭

Think I found the shirt with the right fabric blend, buttons, edge and colour? Hahaha no, this one has a massive piece of embroidery on the back (I know you wouldn’t be able to see it in pics but I would knooooow)

At some point Rails clearly started trying to reduce the linen in this shirt, as I clicked on this originally because it was the right colour, but the buttons and edge were wrong and the label is 70% lyocell, 15% linen and 15% ramie

This Ingrid had the right fabric composition and the model photo almost looked identical to the one I was looking for (not the actual item though), but it was a moot point because the buttons are black instead of white, and there’s a raw edge on them, so was sadly also wrong

Probably from a similar season as the Eleanor shirt, Rails released a few of the Ingrid shirts in what appears to be same fabric blend and colour, but annoyingly there were embroidered patterns on them so were also wrong

Rails releases slightly different variation of Ingrid shirts in a different shade of denim every season, which would be almost acceptable to me colour-wise, but their current and most recent fabric composition seems to be 100% lyocell/tencel, which means it would be different and therefore wrong

Ahhh, a nice thing today - I messaged the person who custom made my (very cool) glasses to tell her they weren’t fitting right anymore and I wanted to pop in to get them adjusted but instead she told me they’re gonna remake them for free as they’ve upgraded their tech in the last year 😍
