Made this post as well, this is what I do to try and negate stress for them. If they can pick up your scent, they tend to have a bit less separation anxiety. It worked very well for me whenever I had to leave

I learned whenever I leave town to help mitigate stress for the dog, is to sleep in an old tshirt the night before then place that shirt where the dog will be sleeping or an area they hang in. A dog trainer told me that tip and it helped a lot with my last dog Riley. Did the same for Ryder haha

I have 2 that are stuck to me like glue.
When we walk , if it's safe and no one is around I let them off leash and they still stay right with me.
They prefer to be leashed though and I think it's because they are getting old. They feel safer on leash.
