Since torties are usually female and orange cats are usually male, people assume these attitudes are a coat-color thing, not a hormone/gender instinct behavior thing

I kinda thought that the tortitude stereotype (and orange cat stereotypes) arise from gender differences in cats. Like, fixed male cats are usually friendlier to everyone if they’re friendly but female cats are pickier and more territorial with their people. 1/
