So many people are looking forward to the Christmas period, but it’s often the absolute worst time for many. Use of substances ramp up and violence and self harm becomes more frequent.

My 11yo has lots of graduation events this week and a few at night. Sunday night I went out & left autistic 6yo who did ok but tonight she was hysterical until I came home. Siblings hadn’t done the night routine exactly the same & I wasn’t around.
I guess I won’t be going out at night again 😖

I have a staffy and a cattle dog x. Even though the staffy is 11 and the CDx is 6, the staffy is always the one doing things she shouldn’t, like trying to find ways out of the yard or sneaking through the house to eat the cat food.
Funny thing is, he always dobs on her so she gets caught 🤣🤣

My car broke in September, the car I need to transport my disabled child. been borrowing a car that’s not equipped for her.
It’s cost me more than the car is worth to try to fix & still no start. Down to the last few options before I burn it to the ground (not literally).

My 6yo is high needs autistic and also has ADHD. She can’t take meds because she takes anti seizure meds for epilepsy.
She runs at speed 20,000+ all day every day, but if she happens to stop for a few minutes during the middle of the day, she’ll fall asleep for 30-60 minutes.
I cherish it 😂😂

It’s been a hard year, marriage separation, high needs child, moving house in the past month. I’m beyond broke and don’t feel like Christmas, but the tree is up, lights are up out the front and the kids are smiling.
They are also excited for a no gift Christmas (making packs for unhoused instead)
