Gavin vs. The Random Deinonychus

Godzilla & Star Trek fan, movie lover, and generally whatever you call a nerd who is bad at math. I'm also a father, married, and over 40. So I am what you would call an elderly Millennial.

He/him.
Princess Dragon Mom from Super Inframan.

OK, actually my favorite is the ones for the 1925 version of THE LOST WORLD. Not only does this art sex it up waaaaaaay more than the actual film, but it inexplicably promises that THE GIANT CLAW shows up!

My favorite of these for some reason, despite not being all that egregious, is ALIEN FROM THE ABYSS. Not only does the monster looks nothing like the Metaluna Mutant, but there's no nudity in the film!

Shocking for an Italian ALIEN rip-off, I know. I understand the impulse to sleaze it up.

There's an artist named Rick Melton whose work I unsurprisingly enjoy a lot, since a majority is erotic horror art.

However, what I really enjoy is that there is at least one European distributor who likes using his art to give hilariously smutty & misleading impressions of certain B-Movies.

Happy Godzilla Day!

All I can think of is the campaign commercial from The Simpsons, but worse because it can actually be made to look like the person.

"Now it's time to do some coke off the blade of a knife!"

I think this is Jaye Rose, a model/performer I was always fond of.

She was also the focus of one of the sexiest gifs I have ever seen.

A grand tradition in horror.

Saw CHAINSAW MAN: THE MOVIE: REZE ARC despite not having watched the anime yet, and as I expected: it is very much My Shit.

Also gonna need to eventually get my hands on this statue from my favorite bit.

Watching R.L. STINE'S PUMPKINHEAD and the filmmakers are clearly trying to torture Millennials. References to "a long time ago, around the turn of the century...like 2003," and the mom mentions THE LONG KISS GOODNIGHT as a movie that was "so good in the 90s" but she can't promise it will hold up.

When I was a kid, whenever I was home sick from school I would ask my parents to rent Disney's 20,000 LEAGUES UNDER THE SEA for me & then I would fast-forward to my favorite part: the giant squid attack.

I also watched so many terrible animated adaptations of it just to see how they did that scene.

One of the most bewildering things my son is currently obsessed with, and is not alone in being obsessed with, is Gamma Jack.

Who is Gamma Jack, you may reasonably ask? One of the dead supers from THE INCREDIBLES that we only see in the below still image, after he was killed by an Omnidroid.

Of course I know the actual name, but I am tempted to call it the "Orthogonal Diagnolizer."

Also, there was a Minotaur in one episode and for most of its screen time it was a charming guy in a suit monster, until it turned into a biker dude for no apparent reason.

So it charmed me with the practical effects, at least.

Starting watching THE LIBRARIANS, and so far it's the exact kind of whimsical & bad understanding of mythology that I bounce right off of.

On the other hand, the main villains are Matt Frewer & Lesley-Ann Brandt, and there is a Jonathan Frakes-directed episode where Bruce Campbell is Santa.

Watching the Steve Martin film THE MAN WITH TWO BRAINS, which I only saw part of once before a long while ago, and--hey, it's Jeffrey Combs as the surgical tech who shaves Kathleen Turner!

Now watching THE SEDUCTRESS, and I am so envious of this character's vintage-style phone. If landlines were still worth having, I would absolutely get myself one of these.

Added my review of #PrisonerOfParadise and obviously had to screenshot the number of reviews listed. Nice.

Figures that on 9/12 I would finally notice the uncomfortable coincidence that this poster for GODZILLA VS. MEGALON sure seems to show Megalon taking down a passenger plane instead of a fighter.

Figured everyone could use a palate cleanser, so here's some recent photos of our kittens: Jonesy, Toothless, and Spock.
