Someone figured out why it’s so cheap
I was right. It was a meth lab. Its on the dea's clandestine lab registry. Incident august 4th, 2004. Has probably been abandoned for the last 20 years.

I thought she was really funny and charming during her tiny desk concert. Seems like a lot of her songs start off as goofy jokes that she runs with. Felt a little like watching Dolly Parton.

NPR covered them in September and when i heard it (during late afternoon/early evening, so prominently placed) i remember wondering wtf i just heard. The report sounded like a favor someone did for their cousin trying to start a new business

If that is what they’re saying, it’s even kind of topical; in both Trump admins there has been lot of speculation that he hires ppl based on aesthetics. Mad dog mattis, fox personalities that look like a movie casting of a “macho defense guy,” etc. Regardless, thank you for pointing out my misread!

You’re right, it seems they’re criticizing that Murderbot is shown as having markers of sexiness (killer cheekbones and abs) while being explicitly asexual. I think the book addresses this? As, this bot model was designed to inspire confidence and ease in the user. So..handsome white guy checks out
