I assume the people/corporations that make big donations got on the phone to dem leadership and told them profits are hurting so if they want donations to keep flowing they better get the government reopened asap. I really wish there were more people with principles in elected office

As I see it, the plan is poor people get no health care so a lot will die before retirement age, or can't afford to retire and rich people don't need social security as they have private pensions so social security payments won't be a thing any more - lots more money for rich people!

I can't help thinking of how certain people fled to Argentina at the end of the curfuffle in 1945. I'm sure the eagerness to prop up Argentina's current regime has nothing to do with the history repeating itself thing that we're living through, that would be too obvious of a plot line, surely

I rarely know what day of the week we're on except my days off. I think my boss is trying to help me differentiate by giving me a schedule next week where I work different hours every day - no two days have the same start & finish time. Damn you for making me have to pay so much attention to days!

After weeks of stressing the fuck out on account of my job going bye-bye, I have a new job! Yay! And I'm actually looking forward to it! Back to working in a plant nursery, taking care of plants instead of dogs again. Oh plus more money and less hours, which is very welcome
