I agonized for a while about whether or not to cover up my Twin Peaks tattoo just because it could be potentially mistaken for an Odal rune, I cannot imagine the lack of curiosity or concern it would take to have a Nazi tattoo for so long.

Had this coding assessment for a job that, I must stress, was not an ML, computer vision, or data science role. I wonder if their lead engineer has that background and just doesn’t understand what most people would consider a simple programming task.

I was a kid in the 90s too and all those evangelical/small government young Republican types I knew ended up being open white nationalist types as soon as orgs like TPUSA made it more acceptable. Maybe she was earnest but that can blind you to the bigotry around you if it’s more understated.
