man I really like this album but I liked it more when I thought it featured Colin Stetson. It's pretty impressive to me she managed to find someone who sounds so similar to his distinct style, but I wonder if she reached out to him first.

I understand that artificial boundaries are inevitable in video game but I think it’s funny that your ability to cut through bamboo in Ghost of Yotei is a plot point several times - until you enter a bamboo forest.

I've been moving gradually up the west coast my whole life and settled in Portland a few years ago and I love everything about it except the disgusting long-legged basement centipedes that chill on the wall unnoticed until they jumpscare you by suddenly dashing away

It should be standard for jobs with long interview processes to give you a hiring bonus of at least the pay you would have made between first interview & starying date. Would also encourage hiring managers to move quickly.

Happy Thanksgiving! Time to cook a feast for your entire family composed of dishes that you never make any other time of year. The centerpiece is a huge frozen turkey, and don't worry, it's really easy to undercook it and give your whole family food poisoning. But if you overcook it, it tastes bad.

There is no possible redemption plan for evil politicians that doesn’t involve retiring from politics and from public life. I’m sorry. That’s the bare minimum starting point.

whenever I bring this up, people always try to suggest discord, but that's so far away from what I'm talking about that I sometimes wonder if I'm one of the last people who fucking remembers it
the whole point was that anyone who truly wanted to could join and wouldn't have to seek it out

When it's a Walgreens that looks like one you've been to before but the pharmacy is in a different corner than you remember and all the shelves are barren with only scattered off-brand items, that's when you've wandered into Whalgren.

Last night our dog froze in the middle of her bedtime ritual and fell asleep on the spot for about an hour. We joked that she’d shut down for a software update. Today she showed us she knows how to jump up on the new couch without any help. I guess she needed the new couch drivers?
