Please do whatever you can to help care for neighbors on the street. Here is my care package list ( I am also now adding fentanyl test strips because of the toxic drug supply and the closure of SCS).
On house neighbors care packages: cash, soft cereal bars, cigarettes, ensure and Ensure diabetic, chocolate for low blood sugar, hot and mittens, hand warmers, lighters, disposable toothbrushes, socks and shoelaces, gift cards to 24-Hour places, Transit tokens and cards, Vaseline and lotion, face masks and hand sanitizer, comb, menstrual pads, dry bag, laundry sheets or pods, waterproof jacket, backpack, warm boots, winterize sleeping bag, winterize tent, charged power bank, baby wipes and kleenex, reusable water bottle, thermal travel mode, hoodies and warm layers, polysporin and painkillers, small first aid kit, playing cards, thermal underwear. Big Ticket items can be bought by collaborating with other community members, smaller items Maybe easier to secure for free or as an in-kind donation. Pack items in a clear bag if you don't know the folks that you're handing out things two for their safety because on House people are the target of so much violence. I carry a full kit in the car and bring a small one with me when I'm walking on foot. Please carry nor can or naloxone so that we can prevent people from overdosing. Made by @rania.writes
