anyone who still uses twitter is a loser im sorry yeah yeah all social media sucks tumblr is transphobic and racist but at least it's not run by a literal fascist with extreme political and socioeconomic power. twitter is also transphobic and racist. it's also really funny because one of the main reasons i see people on twitter is "all the good artists are there" and now the new change (adding a one click AI-edit button to all images uploaded that anyone can use) is specifically causing mostly artists to move. i left twitter before elon musk even came into control of it. it was always a soul sucking peice of shit website designed to make you want to beat the shit out of other people and kill yourself. and now the peice of shit website is being run by a nazi and you still can't leave. i think you're kind of weak. im sorry but im also kind of not. fuck twitter. get off of it. i promise you it will be better. "my friends are all on there" talk to them outside of twitter. get them to move too. not even move, just use an extra social media once in a while or something. If they dont want to do anything for you, not reach out AT ALL if you leave, are they even a good friend. "all the good artists are on twitter" there are good artists everywhere. find new people to support. most people also post their art to multiple socials and especially if artists are wanting to leave right now. This is the most critical time to support them if you want them to also switch. (ACTUAL REASON I'VE SEEN BY MULTIPLE PEOPLE WHO I OTHERWISE THINK ARE SANE) "other sites are too positive" twitter has conditioned you to enjoy hatred. Expressing hatred and pointing out why you think this thing sucks gets you likes and retweets. Twitter thrives on pointing at someone doing something slightly odd and laughing. twitter thrives on showing you things which make you angry to make you engage. This is not a healthy existence to have. "it's not as fun" pick something other than mastodon.
