Oh my god thank you i was just thinking about this and i felt kinda insane like. "is people saying its too positive actually a real thing or did i make it up"

(second last paragraph in the second image if this is too many words)

tldr it never worked unless it was in very specific circumstances

even in situations where it worked and was targeting the exact model. twitter compression is probably enough to make glaze and nightshade not work at all. unless the person was smart enough to grab the "orig" version

glaze make imperceptible changes, which is also what compression removes

glaze and nightshade is specifically messing with a very specific kind of *training* of models. editing like this is different. even originally glaze/nightshade only works in but in very specific scenarios.

the most consistent use of it nowadays that I know of is email encryption and signing. which is very important still people use email a lot for very important things. some companies Live on email

basically any end-to-end encrypted chats most people use like signal use their own encryption, not pgp though.

most internet traffic is also routed through https, which while not end-to-end, its client to server encrypted, which is "good enough" so pgp often isnt used if you trust the server (dont)
December 23, 2025 at 4:24 PM
very, but not sure as much as it was in the past, since theres usually other better options now

encrypted email is basically always PGP

git has pgp support to "verify" commits which is useful

basically if you want to say "i wrote this" or encrypt for another person to read, pgp is often used

ooh i might actually try and play it if a pc port is made (i should do it either way)

do you know what "linked" means? like its 100% decompiled, but not fully linked. what's with that?
