Almost retired bookseller. Likes books, bikes and people who make the world better.
Ah, so that explains why I'm so fond of it. Now tell me about Great Yarmouth....

Time for Clive to sidle across to those Green benches.

Spot on. But of course, there's 'Realpolitik ' to deal with. So, not holding my breath.

'your lack of an inquiring mind' !! Clearly never seen your shows, read your books, listened to you on the radio. Thank you for rising above such idiocy

Many years ago, I think. Might come in handy more often than the Cathedral!

Actually in Ely Cathedral....

I think it's hilarious that they always tell us Green policies will crash the economy while completely failing to acknowledge the 2008 crash, its causes, the bail out and the consequences.

Clive Lewis, still a good guy I think. Keep expecting him to defect to Greens.
December 30, 2025 at 8:16 AM
Astonishing. Our military leaders are telling us we are effectively at war with Russia.

I once made Darcey Bussell a cup of green tea.

As Rao and Adam are still living in your head, will we meet them again,do you think?/

NB..' car crash with tree'. No human agency then.
December 22, 2025 at 1:19 PM
Indeed. Not Smith that's the problem, but those who use him as justification
December 18, 2025 at 6:26 PM
Given that the whole justification of free market economics is that the ' invisible hand' is the most efficient way of organising the economy, it should be pretty clear that the system is failing on its own terms. But any alternatives are dismissed as naive and unworkable.

And generally the courts are ridiculously lenient. Maybe this will be a wake up call
December 17, 2025 at 4:21 PM
Maybe they should have listened to Carol Cadwalldr, would have saved a lot of time
December 17, 2025 at 4:15 PM
Completely agree. We hold him to lower standards than we would a 5y.o child. I'd love to see just one politician put realpolitik aside and tell him exactly where to get off.

The attacks on ZP and the Greens are wholly predictable: not serious, student politics, will crash the economy etc. But none of the experts care to remember that the economy crashed under the current orthodoxy, and trillions were conjured up to bail it out.

How dare she , with no experience either professionally or personally, judge other people's conditions as 'low level'. Utterly shameful and unworthy of anyone in public life.
December 9, 2025 at 4:25 PM
Under the current economic orthodoxy, there was economic collapse in 2008, which took a massive bail out to rescue it. The trillions raised then came from where, exactly? And what lessons were learned? Simple questions for you to answer before you write off alternatives
