I use my cell phone. I’m a slow adopter, so I just assume almost everybody else does, too. I mean - some clock alarms have to be turned on every day you want them to wake up! You have to get the time changes set correctly the night before. So many reasons to use the phone.

Yes, because it means we can’t get to a better place without making him even more unhappy, and who knows what terror he will inflict before he’s out of power. This dynamic is deeply disturbing.

It’s worth reminding everyone that it’s not the civil service that is corrupt (minus a few bad individuals) but rather those who want to take it over.

I think if I watched this I would never be able to function again. Knowing that my country is doing this leaves me drowning in grief and rage.

I am finding most programs that present something that brings history to life to be useful for adding perspective to our own understanding. Both Wolf Hall and The Gold were useful studies of class, law, and societal expectations. I’m looking forward to watching this one, too.
