Our city has experienced some tough times this year. But I’ve seen neighbors standing up, lifting each other up, and showing a sense of community that I love about our ward and love about our city.

Great meet and greet at the Berlins! I enjoyed the good energy, great conversation and holiday treats. The Berlins brought together a diverse crowd from across the ward. We talked about the District’s federal overreach, noise ordinance laws, traffic calming, and affordability!

Rebuilding trust is the most urgent and important job of our next police chief. They will have to demonstrate their commitment to putting our residents first, upholding our values, and adhering to both the letter and spirit of D.C.’s Sanctuary Values Act.

I had the opportunity to tour our region’s incredible building trades training facility & learn firsthand about the union-certified apprenticeship programs offered by ironworkers, builders, painters, glassmakers — all members of UA, LIUNA, IUPAT, and IBEW. Thank you for the great tour!
