It's discouraging, but not much I can do besides just hope that something will come up sooner and keep doing what I'm doing until then.

I am on a waitlist for other gender-affirming care and should supposedly have an appointment through another clinic in a few months, but no solid date for it yet. Was just really hoping to keep up my mood and momentum.

No such luck - he wasn't familiar with the process and wouldn't prescribe it despite my objections. He said he would try to find another provider, but I don't have much faith.

I've prepared as much as I can in advance - the dosage I want, things I want to say if he's hesitant, etc. - but ultimately it's up to him and there's not much I can do if he says no.

Sadly I'm probably too old to go full "blue hair and pronouns" - that seems to be more of an early twenties thing, and it likely wouldn't look good on me anyways. But I have been considering getting a pink streak in my bangs or something.

It's probably something I would have wanted to learn even if I wasn't transitioning. Either that or I would've needed to start keeping my hair short, which would have looked weird after ~20 years of having it long.

Recently I've been attending more local arts/crafts shows and conventions in my area, so I've taken the opportunity to acquire other plushies and desk ornaments in order to personalize my space a bit more.

The black tabby is Milo, and the orange tabby is Joey Jo-Jo Junior Shabadoo (either Joey or Jojo for short).

You know, here I am, lying in bed just like Brian Wilson did with some alcohol (my permanent accessory), and it's been one week since you looked at me. I'm not the king of bedside manor or anything, but I'll be that girl and you would be right over.

I swear that this blog won't just be me venting about petty grievances about myself and my life. So here's something good that happened today: I really like the scrunchies I bought, they're easier for me to tie than standard hair ties and they're cute. Looking forward to growing my hair out more.

Just gotta focus on the good parts and keep pushing past the bad parts. Eventually I'll hit my goals, even if it takes another year.
