The Supreme Court Judgement does not say the organizers of a women's conference must ban trans women. It's not up to the court who Labor invites to their conferences.

The lack of media literacy on display here is enough to cause despair. Mr Prachett's oeuvre is a thoughtful and serious examination of a wide ranging set of topics through thought experiments. What you perceive to be whimsy is the careful construction of hypotheticals.

So, from an external perspective, it is really jarring to see that the face of the UK's most racist policies in recent years have been two women of color. I want to say it's tokenism, but Braverman and Mahmood appear to be genuine in their bigotry. Wtf is going on here?

Also, there is the zeal of the newly converted effect that affects pretty much everyone using it since the technology is so new. I was insufferable as a brand new Linux user many years ago, but these days I'm insufferable for completely different reasons.

I think that can be explained by them noticing some people are openly hostile to the use of LLMs and wanting social validation to balance that social disapproval. I'm pretty sure I've seen versions of that for pretty much every controversial technology that is accessible by skeptics.
