I keep thinking about the due process videos being shown in courthouses all over the country every day. Traffic court and jury usually show a video explaining basic due process - how it's a pillar of Democracy, a Constitutional right, and how it applies to what they are doing at the courthouse.

I wonder if the boys felt confident of their job prospects without an education, but the girls did not. Maybe the boys were going to join a family business, of had a family friend they knew would hire them, but the girls not so much.

During the first T admin, summer 2020, - there were stories about people in Portland, OR being abducted on the street and released a few hours later. The people doing it wore no ID, no uniform, but acted as if organized. NPR ran a story saying they were federal agents. Maybe they were practicing.

That's a fantastic shot. Full tonal range. Erie, relatable and isolating at the same time. I can put myself in that moment and simultaneously understand how ephemeral it is. Conjures physical sensations, sounds, and scents as well as providing a visual feast.
