Computers been real slow lately so I got myself one of these "efficiency" guys, he's been helping by deleting random system files. Freed up heaps of megabytes that were being wasted on maybe nothing or maybe stopping the computer from exploding. He also installed his own free suite of handy widgets,

nix docs instruct to create a new APFS partition. a new disk partition!! yeah never doing that on a work laptop for a package manager. now i dont have to thankfully :) just have to try pitchfork next to see how stable it is
nix is has horrible DX. I wrote mise in part because I couldn't get nix to work after 2 attempts. I felt a DX-focused way to setup development environments was needed and 2 years in I think I was right.
