It really was just so nice that things were less overwhelming. I feel like I didn’t have to think about all the excess. I agree it was so much simpler and nicer 🥲

The stills above are of her return to a Chinese school in Vietnam where ethnic Chinese minority learned their mother tongue. After the communist takeover, the school converted to Vietnamese teachings, and Chinese was only taught during the evenings.
