That is the basis of the christians who contested the ban and want to see it overturned. Their argument is that the ban violates their 1A rights to freedom of speech and religion. The counter argument is that 1A isn’t relevant in therapeutic practices, no matter their effectiveness (or absence of).

So was training AI the actual reason for alt-text at BlueSky? I have no objection to alt-text as a means to help people with disabilities use online media. But BlueSky's tiny alt-text entry box is not easy for people with vision impairments to use. Helping people never seemed to be the point of it.

This is such a silly design; I both love and hate it. That box cover accounts for over half of the thickness of the book, and I can’t take the sprue out without ruining the box by opening the card flap inside the box’s “inner cover” and leaving the “window” empty.

It was created by a group of British nerds of different stripes, in the 80s, informed by 2000AD, punk rock and NWOBHM, history, fantasy & sf, and anti-Thatcherism. The first edition, Rogue Trader, was full of art clearly making references to the oppressive Thatcher regime.
